This was a Birmingham Audubon Society sponsored guided hiking tour of the Forever Wild Land Trust's Sipsey River Swamp property near Tuscaloosa. Participants learned from expert Ken Wills about the plants and animals of the area's tupelo-bald cypress swamps, bottom land hardwood, and beaver ponds. The terrain is flat and the paths are wide. This was a three forth day field trip. The mileage noted above says 5.2 miles, but the end of the out hike was 3.1 miles and I paused my GPS Phone. I forgot to un-pause the app, as you might see that there is part of the trip with no overlap, which indicates the walk back.

One important takeaway from this is that this is a Forever Wild Land Trust property and the vote is coming up on November 6th, 2012. It is critical that the vote is "Yes" on Amendment #1. To learn more, go to: http://www.alabamiansforforeverwild.org/ .

Many thanks again to Ken Wills who led this hike!

Is it a coincidence that you landed on this page by mistake? Maybe God wanted you to be here on purpose. If there is an emptiness in our heart or you have unresolved issues, maybe you can find answers in some of my notes on the Christian life, which can be found at: www.swordnotes.com

If you are not much into reading and researching the information on God's Word, perhaps some videos may be helpful. A great library of videos is available at: http://bit.ly/14FizPD
